Ken Ham to Speak at Conference
JUNE 29, 2012 (Pensacola, FL) — Highly acclaimed and sought-after Christian speaker Ken Ham will be a special guest at The Proof of God Conference in Orlando, Florida, during the weekend of October 12—13. His participation will be an exciting addition to an already powerful slate of dynamic speakers.
President and CEO of Cincinnati-based Answers in Genesis (AiG) and the well-known Creation Museum, Ham is a foremost biblical apologist and author of many books on Genesis, including the eye-opening book, Already Gone, on why so many young people have left the church. He speaks fearlessly about such hot-button topics as creation/evolution in public schools, “gay” marriage, abortion and school violence. His articles on the website www.answersingenesis.org have contributed to its award of the “Best Christian Website” for 2012 by the National Religious Broadcasters (1,200 members strong). Ken hosts the daily radio program, “Answers … with Ken Ham,” heard on more than 900 stations in America (and dozens more overseas), and is one of the editors and contributing authors for AiG’s Answers magazine (a biblical worldview publication with more than 75,000 worldwide subscribers). Besides the high-tech 75,000-square-foot Creation Museum, Ken and his organization are now leading a project to build the Ark Encounter, an attraction of nine themed areas grouped around a full-scale wooden ark.
Ken earned his Bachelors degree in applied science (with emphasis in environmental biology) at Queensland Institute of Technology in his native Australia, and received a diploma of education from the University of Queensland. He then moved to America in 1987 and became one of the most in-demand Christian conference speakers and talk show guests. In one year alone, he appeared on Fox’s “The O’Reilly Factor” and “Fox and Friends in the Morning,” CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer” and ABC’s “Good Morning America,” to name a few. In recognition of his exemplary contributions to the church in the United States, he has been awarded honorary doctorate degrees from Temple Baptist College, Liberty University, Tennessee Temple University and Mid-Continent University.
