Win Souls!

God called us to win souls, not causes. The great commission (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, and Acts 1:8) commands us to preach, baptize, and teach people what Jesus taught His disciples. While there is nothing wrong with working for a cause (1 Samuel 17:29), Christians have a strong tendency to major on minors and minor on majors; we need to keep priorities in order. The battle raging for the minds of men is a battle between God and the Devil. The people who (knowingly or unknowingly) are working for the Devil are not the real enemy. There is a tendency among Christians to not keep the sin separate from the sinner. However, we can still use the advice given by Abraham Lincoln: “The best way to get rid of an enemy is to make him your friend.” When dealing with evolutionists, our job is to love them and to keep a sweet spirit while trying to influence them to be saved. As we win people to Christ, they will begin to have their mind renewed and will see that God’s Word is true. Our best offensive weapon is soul winning—converted evolutionists make great creationists! Most of the active creation scientists are former evolutionists. If we obey Christ and “preach the gospel to every creature,” we will see great results.

Thank you for the very wise and encouraging words. I have just came to the same conclusion this past week concerning winning the lost. The struggle of balancing mercy with truth. We/I often try to win them based on what we know instead of letting the Holy Spirit soften their hearts. The end of that fleshly work only leads to strife. Your words are a gift to me as God knew that I needed to read them. Thank you and God bless you. – Amy

I love this! I was “raised” on evolution and it was just one of the obstacles in my becoming a Christian. Finally, I decided to trust Christ as my Saviour, but I still held on to evolution. At first I tried to blend the two (Scripture and evolution), but after some time and some wrestling, God convicted me about the truth of His Word. What a day that was, just as big an event as my salvation. It solidified my faith in Christ and the Bible and there ain’t no turning back!! Like Dr. Hovind says, “Win Souls!”

I can’t wait until Jesus comes and all of the Darwinist go to hell. That will be a great day indeed.

Is Charles some sort of Poe? Most of even the hard core fundies try not to be so obvious with their excitement of gloating over other people’s eternal torment.

    Shouldn’t you love your enemies?
Btw. he should have returned a long time ago…

What I don’t understand is that you are conflating evolutionist with non-Christian. This is just not the case. Michael Behe, Francis Collins, Ken Miller, Robert Bakker, Simon Morris, among countless others are Christians that accept the Theory of Evolution as the best explanation for the diversity of life on the planet (albeit that Behe does add a little more to it, but he has never denied common descent and Evolution).

I can love someone and still be happy when they go to hell.

Hey there… I’m 20 years old, from CapeTown, South Africa. Growing up I was also influenced greatly by evolution. For some reason it was very easy for me to accept that It wasn’t true after watching your Videos_ And it made sense. Best of all I felt and still feel closer to God everyday. There were times when I wanted to give up, but God didn’t wana hear any of it :=). I’m sooo grateful I found God at such an early age… Some people spend their lifetimes searching. My soul is at peace. Thank you (X infinity!!)

Not really Charles, that’s pretty disturbing actually. Luckily I don’t know of any Darwinists.

How can you be influenced by evolution?
It’s like saying “i was greatly influenced by String theorie”.
