Dr. Tim Clarey earned a Ph.D., M.S. and B.S. (summa cum laude) from Western Michigan University, and a M.S. from University of Wyoming, all in geology. In between his degrees, he worked for nearly a decade as an exploration geologist for Chevron. After obtaining his doctorate, Clarey spent 17 years as a professor at a public college.
He has published numerous articles on the geology of the Rocky Mountain region. In addition, Dr. Clarey has written and/or co-authored six books, including Carved in Stone: Geological Evidence of the Worldwide Flood and a college textbook called Earth Systems, both published by ICR, and Dinosaurs: Marvels of God’s Design, published by Master Books. He currently serves as Director of Research at the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) in Dallas, conducting research on Flood sedimentation patterns across the globe. He also serves as Editor of the Creation Research Society Quarterly.
