Creation Tours – Teaching Genesis in a Secular Museum
Walk into almost any secular museum today and you’ll hear a confident narrative about millions of years, evolution, and a world explained without God. What most people don’t realize is that the evidence doesn’t interpret itself. Scientists do, and they do it through a worldview. Everyone has one.
That’s exactly what Ben LaCorte, our recent guest on the Creation Today Show, is confronting head-on.
Through his organization, Creation Tours, Ben is taking the conversation into the very places that have been dominated by one-sided interpretations for decades. He leads groups through secular museums, not avoiding the exhibits, but engaging them directly and explaining them through the truth of God’s Word. Same rocks. Same fossils. Same displays. But completely different conclusions because of a different starting point.
As Ben explains, it’s like putting on a pair of colored glasses. What you see depends on the lens you’re using. Evolution is one lens. Scripture is another. And Scripture is grounded in the only One who was actually there, God Himself.
What makes this even more powerful is how it began. No platform. No permission. Ben simply stepped out in faith, gathered a group, walked into a museum, and started teaching. That act of obedience has now grown into nearly 100 tours, with more continuing to spread as people realize this is exactly what’s been missing.
The response has been strong. Homeschool families, Christian school teachers, and parents consistently say the same thing, “I didn’t know anyone was doing this.” They’ve been looking for help explaining what their children are seeing, and Creation Tours comes alongside them like an advocate, helping make sense of complex topics without compromising the truth.
During the tours, they go straight to the exhibits kids are most drawn to, especially dinosaurs. But instead of repeating the standard narrative, they ask better questions. Questions about soft tissue that shouldn’t still exist if fossils are millions of years old. Questions about radiometric dating and the assumptions behind it. Questions about how dinosaurs would have fit on the Ark, pointing out that young animals, not fully grown ones, would have been brought aboard.
These are great starting points that get people to think more clearly.
And the conversation doesn’t stop at science. It leads to the gospel. A butterfly’s metamorphosis becomes a picture of transformation from Romans 12:2. The physical world points to spiritual truth. That’s the heart behind Creation Tours, not just answering objections, but removing obstacles so people can clearly see the truth of God’s Word and the need for Christ.
Ben is doing exactly what Christ commanded. He is stepping outside his comfort zone and going into the world where the hardest questions exist, removing obstacles to faith and pointing people back to the truth.
Because Jesus didn’t just say go. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore.” We are not going in our own strength or our own authority, but in His. That changes everything.
You do not have to accept the lie that creation is nonsense or anti-science. God created it all. Genesis 1:1 is not a myth, it is the foundation.
This episode of the Creation Today Show captures that mission clearly. If you want to understand how to engage in these conversations, equip your family, and step into places that have been dominated by one-sided narratives, this is a conversation you need to hear.
