As the church celebrates the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation and the far-reaching impact it made, we are delighted to also celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Creation Today. Knowing that each generation of believers has their own set of challenges, specific to the culture in which they live, we continue to stand with the Reformers on the authority of Scripture, rather than the vain traditions of men. With them we boldly declare that salvation is, “By Grace Alone, through Faith Alone, in Christ Alone, on His Word Alone, to the Glory of God Alone.

Lately it seems that History has gone the way of the Dodo birds. If it isn’t forgotten altogether, the events are being manipulated and twisted to reflect certain agendas. Yet there’s no denying the impact the Reformation had on the culture around it. Post tenebras lux — “After darkness, light,” was more than a motto. It was a reality to the world of the Reformers. Through the courage of a few, many were brought into the light. God’s Word was proclaimed. Society was altered.

Today, much has changed. Yet so much remains the same. People still need the Gospel, even though mediums have morphed from face-to-face contact with people, pen and paper, and hardback books; to skype, email, twitter, snapchat, facebook, kindle, computers, audio and visual technology—all powerful tools for our education or weapons for our destruction. Creation Today is committed to using all possible cutting-edge mediums for impacting this culture using the technology available to us.

TAKING IT TO THE STREETS

Here at Creation Today, we LOVE atheists, agnostics, and skeptics. Because many of them will not darken the door of a church, it has been our pleasure to take the Gospel to the streets. When a group of atheists decided to protest the opening of the Ark Encounter in Kentucky, we were on the front lines, engaging and serving those who opposed us. At the Reason Rally in Washington, DC we were engaging, preaching, and serving those who showed up to celebrate their “non-belief.” And when the first Monument to Atheism was unveiled in Stark County Florida, it was Eric Hovind from Creation Today who stood in front of the skeptic crowd to proclaim the saving grace found in Jesus Christ alone.

MOVIES THAT IMPACT CULTURE

If you are a fan of movies, you have almost certainly been affected by them in some way. Perhaps they have influenced your decisions, thoughts, moods, and worldviews. Because their influence is so effective, movies play a huge role in the shaping of a generation. That’s why it is so important to have good movies! This year, on November 13th, we are releasing a movie incredibly unique, with so much potential for influence. Featuring stunning computer-generated graphics intertwined with brief interviews with top scientists and theologians, Genesis: Paradise Lost will allow people to experience the wonder of Creation from Genesis Chapter One. Please HELP US impact the culture by sharing this event with your friends and loved ones.

In September we asked you to guess which DVD was used by the Holy Spirit to bring Eric Hovind to saving faith in Jesus Christ? Many of you knew the answer, or found it in Eric’s Bio, and won a free download for responding. For those still wondering, the answer is, “Hell’s Best Kept Secret,” by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron.
