The titles of two recently published Wall Street Journal news stories once again highlight the danger in accepting the evolutionary theory.
1. April, 10th 2019, Fossil Evidence of New Human Species Found in Philippines
2. May, 1st 2019, Fossil Points to a Vanished Human Species in Himalayas.
Title Troubles—“New Human Species”?
Let’s consider the way this discovery was trumpeted in the two article titles. They did not follow the expected trend of announcing, yet again, that the missing link between man and ape had been found. They did not announce the discovery of an Ape-Man. Instead, they referred to this find as “New Human Species.”
What’s the Trouble?
If the reason these titles are troubling isn’t immediately obvious, then recall the way in which Charles Darwin wrote about the human race–or rather–the human RACES. Darwin did not see the human race the way the Bible describes it: one vast family of brothers and sisters all having descended from our first parents, Adam and Eve, through the family of Noah after the Flood some 4,000 years ago. Instead, Darwin saw the human race as a series of different species and subspecies, complete with a clear hierarchy. This dehumanizing evolution doctrine spread far and wide with the acceptance of Darwinian thought by schools and even churches.
The textbook A Civic Biology Presented in Problems by George William Hunter, a common American public school textbook in the early 1900s, taught students this about the human “races.”
“The Races of Man. At the present time there exist upon the earth five races . . . the highest type of all, the Caucasians, represented by the civilized white inhabitants of Europe and America.”
Trouble Begins
The racist, white supremacy of Darwinism did not begin in America, but rose up very quickly among the disciples of Darwin in Europe. Of notable example is Ernst Haeckel whose drawings of embryos are still used as “evidence of evolution” despite having been debunked as fraudulent more than a century ago. Haeckel said this about the “human races”:
“If one must draw a sharp boundary between them, it has to be drawn between the most highly developed and civilized man on the one hand, and the rudest savages on the other, and the latter have to be classed with the animals.” (Ernst Haeckel, The History of Creation. p. 365)
While few confronted with these comments could fail to see their dehumanizing nature, many would argue that we should not judge Darwin or his theories by his disciples. In an attempt to protect the reputation of their high priest of atheistic, pseudo “science,” some modern Darwinists argue that Darwin was not a racist, pointing out that he wrote against slavery.
It is true that Darwin was opposed to slavery, and it is true that Nietzsche was opposed to whipping a horse. However, this does not mean that Nietzsche embraced the horse as his equal, and neither does this mean that Darwin felt other “races” of man to be his equal or equal to each other.
Darwin himself admitted this, writing about the separation of species, that some were superior over the less evolved, that some were more animal species than human. This concept of white, civilized Europeans being the superior human species certainly began in Darwin’s own words and was not merely added by later Evolutionists. When considering what Darwin felt to be the evolutionary future of the human races, he wrote:
“At some future period, not very distant from as measured by centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace, the savage races throughout the world….The break between man and his nearest allies will then be wider, for it will intervene between man in a more civilized state, as we may hope, than the Caucasian, and some apes as low as a baboon, instead of as now between the negro or Australian and the gorilla.” (Charles Darwin, “The Descent of Man, Selection in Relation to Sex.” London: John Murray, 1896, 156.) To clarify, when Darwin refers to the “negro,” he here refers to African peoples, and by “Australian,” he means the Aboriginal peoples of Australia. In this paragraph, Darwin asserts the belief that the white Europeans would “exterminate and replace” the Africans and Aboriginal peoples. What is subtle but still clear is the hierarchy of mankind in these words.
The “evolutionary distances” to which he refers are between the Caucasian/European and the African, and then between the African and the gorilla. In Darwin’s mind African men are the evolutionary “missing” link between European white men and African apes! As Darwin looked into the evolutionary future, he saw these ape-to-man “Middle Species” (the ape-like Africans and the Aboriginal human-like gorillas) being killed off by the “Superior future form of the European” (something akin to Nietzsche’s superman).
Preposterous!
Trouble Brews—from Darwinian Theory to Deadly Action
How this extreme racism annihilation could be carried out was proposed by one of Darwin’s early supporters, his cousin and fellow scientist, Francis Galton. In a Letter to the Editor of The Times, June 5, 1873, now titled “Africa for the Chinese,” Galton explains his plan;
“My proposal is to make the encouragement of the Chinese settlements at one or more suitable places on the East Coast of Africa a part of our national policy, in the belief that the Chinese immigrants would not only maintain their position, but that they would multiply and their descendants supplant the inferior Negro race. I should expect the large part of the African seaboard, now sparsely occupied by lazy, palavering savages…might in a few years be tenanted by industrious, order loving Chinese…”
This concept was just one of many, no doubt devised by the most well-known of which was the Nazi’s “Final Solution.” In 1947, British anthropologist and atheistic evolutionist Sir Arthur Keith wrote in Evolution and Ethics:
“The German Führer, as I have consistently maintained, is an evolutionist; he has consciously sought to make the practice of Germany conform to the theory of evolution.”

Suffice it to say, the white supremacy in Darwinian thought has led to horrific consequences all over the world, and continues to do so today.
The Science Trouble of Darwinian Murder
Slaughter of the innocent continues around the world—even here in America. That’s what abortion is. Planned Parenthood (an ironic name for a foundation designed to kill babies) was founded by a Darwinian racist named Margaret Sanger. Her own words show that she was motivated by Darwinian racism. In an article titled, “What Every Girl Should Know,” Sanger includes this statement of her beliefs:
“…the aboriginal Australian, the lowest known species of the human family,
just a step higher than the chimpanzee in brain development…”
Like the Nazis, this founder of America’s infanticide machine intended to use scientific extermination via abortion to further the upward evolution of the human race which, in her mind, meant killing off non-whites, the less evolved human species. The Trouble Is the Added “S”
Darwin and his disciples wrote that the differences between “more highly evolved” and “more animalistic” peoples are the result of superior and inferior species of men doing the best they can. They viewed some peoples as animalistic, not because of their actions, but because he believed they were animals. Darwin did not see ONE human race as the Bible clearly teaches. He saw Different Human RACES.
The reality is that we are ALL ONE RACE. We are ALL sinners in need of salvation and a renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). The entire human race that descended from Adam and Eve are all related and all need the salvation offered by the Last Adam, Jesus. From a Biblical perspective, there is one biological race. Scientific studies on the human genome consistently demonstrate only one race. “Races” cannot be defended with science or the Bible! There is no defense of races whatsoever.
May we intentionally change the way we talk, forbidding the common verbiage of “races” to come from our lips or to be heard by our ears unchallenged. We can make a difference by replacing the cultural lingo of “different races” or “different human species” with the Biblical truth that we are all one race, made in God’s image. We can stand against the lies that divide us, not in anger or hostility, but in love for our brothers and sisters, all created by our Father.
Let’s take to heart the words of Paul who says this in Acts 17: 26-27 (NIV).
“From one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.”
The unbiblical and unscientific Wall Street Journal news titles should have been:
